Excitement builds for Manatee's 7th state final game

BRADENTON - The Manatee High School Hurricanes will take the field against the First Coast Buccaneers for the Class 7A state championship Friday night in Orlando. This is the seventh time the ‘Canes have made it to the state championship, and this year they're determined to bring home a win.The Manatee High practice fields were quiet Thursday as the team gets their rest before the big game, and head coach Joe Kinnan says they've played a rigorous schedule to get them to this point and now it's time to take care of business.“The kickoff's at 7, and the chips will fall where they may, and hopefully we'll be state champions three hours later,” says Coach Kinnan.He says the ‘Canes will have a shot at becoming the 7A state champs, but says it wouldn't be an easy win. “We're playing First Coat...they've been in
