Patricia Bowne Wrightson passes

Longboat Key resident Patricia Bowne Wrightson, 83, died Nov. 19 in Sarasota Memorial Hospital following heart surgery. Born in Utica, N.Y., to Thomas B. Bowne and Edith Clarke, Patricia lived in White River Junction, Vt., and Montclair, before moving to Longboat Key. She graduated from Abbot Academy in Andover, Mass., and volunteered at the Longboat Key Arts Center and the Longboat Key Library.
Patricia was an active member of All Angels Episcopal Church and served as a lay reader and on the Altar Guild. Patricia was predeceased by her husband George (Brud) D. Wrightson in 2004, and her first husband David E. Rickenbacker in 1983. She is survived by her son, D. Brian Rickenbacker; two daughters, Marcia F. Rickenbacker, and Nancy C. Schindler; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
