Sarasota Jewish Community Celebrates Hanukkah

Chabad of Sarasota's second annual Taste of Chanukah brought the Jewish community together Tuesday night, celebrating the lighting of the menorah.The event at Selby Five Points Park included a children's choir, hula dancers, the Shalom Trio Band, a man on stilts, a visit by Judah the Maccabee and "Grab the Gelt" — or grab the Hanukkah cash— in a tent.The first of the eight candles on the menorah were lit and blessed by the congregation.
