Orange Avenue Reopens Following Construction

Orange Avenue between 10th Way and 19th Street is now open to all traffic following a temporary closure for a drainage improvement project.
To accommodate asphalt milling and re-paving, intermittent lane closes will occur during the second and third weeks of January, according to the City of Sarasota. A flag crew will be on site to direct traffic.
Road construction will continue on 17th Street west of Orange Avenue. Small segments of sidewalk also will be under construction and trees will be planted along Orange
