Suncoast figure skater producing first ice show

ELLENTON - An Olympic figure skater is making a splash on the Suncoast with a new production. Mark Ladwig is producing his first show this weekend at the Ellenton Ice Complex.Ladwig and his skating partner Amanda Evora have been training there since 2002 and competed in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.This weekend's show is the first at Ellenton Ice to be produced completely by skaters. “It's going to be coordinated by skaters. The choreographers, they're getting set up back there, and they’re skaters, so it's the first time in the history that I know of at Ellenton Ice where we're gonna rent the ice and have our own show,” says Ladwig."Skate Into Spring" is this Saturday, February 25th, with shows at 5pm and 7pm.
