Hydrologist Files Complaint with FCC/FTC
Noted hydrologist Dr. Sydney Bacchus has filed a complaint with the FTC and FCC alleging that fertilizer giant Mosaic's commercials are "misleading in a material respect" and therefore in violation of federal regulations at both commissions, which prohibit deceptive practices in advertising a product. Bacchus says that the phosphate giant uses these publicly aired deceptions to gain public confidence, and to persuade unknowing officials who vote on mining
