Sarasota Police arrested Margaret M. Nunn, 53, of 1817 Barstow Place, Sarasota on Wednesday for those identity theft charges, according to the Sarasota Police Department. She also faces a fraud charge.
Police say the crime happened just hours after the death of Kenneth McMahon on June 10 when soon after McMahon passed away that day, three credit cards were used to purchase airline tickets, bridal shoes, paid phone bills and other items cashing in at more than $1,186, according to police.
The Public Safety Office inside the hospital helped police identify Nunn as a suspect. Nunn worked as a patient registration representative in the emergency room, according to police.
