Free Parking in Sarasota on Presidents' Day

You won't have to feed the meters Monday because it's Presidents' Day.
Sarasota city administrative offices will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday. Parking meters, pay stations and the Palm Avenue Parking Garage are all free, the city announced in a press release.
The regular City Commission meeting will be held the following day, Tuesday, at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Commission Chambers in City Hall, 1565 First Street.
Weekly garbage and recycling collection will not be affected.
Sarasota County
For county government, most Sarasota County government offices will be closed Monday.
All Sarasota County libraries will be closed, as will all Sarasota County recreation centers, with the exception of the following: Payne Park Tennis Center, open 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Arlington Park Recreation Center, open noon to 5
