Body Found In Siesta Key Canal

Investigators are trying to determine what led to a man's body floating in Siesta Key on Sunday evening.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office responded to Siesta Key at 7:08 p.m. Sunday for a reported dead man floating in a Siesta Key canal.
Sheriff's Office Marine Unit and Sheriff's Underwater Recovery Force recovered the body and investigators are now determining the time line of events that led the man's body there.
The man's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
