Weekend Things: Floating Art Exhibit Docks in Sarasota

1. Yachts, cocktails and art are things that go together well in Sarasota. This weekend you can combine all three as SeaFair, the Mega Yacht Venue, has made its way up the Gulf Coast from Naples and will be docking its floating gallery at Marina Jack on Friday, March 30 through Monday, April 2 with a preview night this evening.
The on-board art exhibits feature works from 28 galleries including sculpture, painting, photography, fine art glass and design. You may want to get there early. Last year, 18,000 people toured Art Sarasota Aboard SeaFair. Entry is $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
2. If you're more of an animal lover, head down to Animal Services to meet the next four-legged member of your family during the spring Adopt-a-Thon from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You'll be able to adopt at a discounted rate and you'll receive a starter
