Marauders Continue to Struggle Behind Shaky Pitching

BRADENTON – The Marauders went 3-4 over the last week, giving up an astounding 44 runs in those 7 games while putting up only 31. The skid included a blowout loss at home Sunday night when they were routed 14-4 by Jupiter, giving up 3 home runs. The team rallied back the next night, downing the Hammerheads 8-2, before losing another one-sided loss to close out the series when they fell 7-1 on Tuesday night to close out their 5-game home stand at Mckechnie.After ending last week's series with Palm Beach in a 9-6 loss at home, the team traveled to Fort Myers, where they beat the Miracle 2-1 behind solid pitching from Jameson Taillon (no decision), Eliecer Navarro, Porfirio Lopez (W 1-0) and Jason Townsend, who logged his first save. Returning home Saturday night, they again squeaked out a one run win, this time beating Ft. Myers 4-3.
