Buiding First Class Teams With the Support of the Community

It costs a lot of money to run the programs here at Southeastern Guide Dogs. You have probably already heard the figure of $60,000 as the cost to create and nurture a guide dog team for life. Considering the fact that we create approximately 80 to 100 new guide dog teams per year, you can see that it takes substantial funds to do the work we do.
One of the ways we fundraise is by enlisting the broad reach of civic-minded groups to run what we classify as third-party fundraisers. These third-party fundraisers can be diverse in their activity from bake sales and car washes to golf tournaments and concerts. We are lucky that we have a strong base of loyal supporters who believe in our mission and work hard to make sure we can continue to provide world-class dogs at no charge to the recipients.
