Richard R. Miley of 1900 block of Debbie Street, attempted to rob the Chase bank, 3681 Central Sarasota Parkway at 4:41 p.m. when he told a teller he was robbing the bank, implied he had a weapon and tried to give her a note, according to the sheriff's office.
Miley didn't receive any money, and when he attempted to leave the bank, deputies were waiting for him and took him into custody without incident, according to the sheriff's office.
