Student Safety Focus Of Sarasota School Board Town Hall Call

Parents focused on getting answers from the Sarasota County School Board on student security, bullying and suicides during an hour-long Telephone Town Hall on Thursday night.
Sarasota County School Board hosted a Telephone Town Hall Thursday night by letting parents call in to a conference call and ask questions to school leaders similar to a radio call-in show.
School Board Chairwoman Caroline Zucker, Superintendent Lori White and Chief Operating Officer Scott Lempe fielded the questions ranging from walking to schools, reading grades to sensitive topics including security, suicide and bullying.
