Sarasota Closings for New Years Long Weekend

Most Sarasota County government offices, including libraries, the History Center and recreation centers, will be closed Sunday, Jan. 1, and Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, for the New Year’s holiday.
The City of Sarasota’s administrative offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 2, and parking meters and pay stations will not be enforced on Jan. 2.
Sarasota County Parks and Recreation’s Payne Park Tennis Center and Arlington Park pool will be open noon-5 p.m. on Jan. 2. All other Sarasota County Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed Jan. 2.
The city’s Lido Pool will be closed on Sunday, New Years’ Day, but will be open on Jan. 2. The Robert L. Taylor Community Complex will be closed on New Years Day and the following Monday. The “Rec” will reopen on Jan. 3. The city’s Bobby Jones Golf Club will be open for play throughout
