Santorum Still Set to Appear in Sarasota

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum's Sunday afternoon rally at Dolphin Aviation will go on as scheduled as Santorum flew to Philadelphia Saturday to be with his hospitalized daughter, according to media reports.
The Associated Press reports that Santorum's "Meet The Press" appearance on NBC is canceled for Sunday along with a church service in Miami, but his Sarasota and Punta Gorda appearances were not canceled.
The story, which appears on The Huffington Post, says that his youngest daughter Isabella, is 18 months old and suffers from Trisonomy-18 — a genetic defect giving her an extra chromosome. It's a situation Santorum has discussed before on the campaign trail, as website The Blaze notes.
