5 Things: Herald-Tribune Sold, Kmart and Sears closures, News Wrap, Zagat Rating

1. Herald-Tribune employees are awaiting their fate as Halifax Media Holdings will notify in less than 48 hours if employees will be offered a job at the paper with the new company. The New York Times Regional Media Group is officially in the final stages of a sale to Halifax, New York Times Company announced Tuesday.
2. We’re awaiting word whether the Sarasota Sears or Kmarts could close after Sears Holding announced Tuesday that it plans to close 100 to 120 stores. The list of closed stores have not been released yet.
3. Missed some news over the holiday break?
