Police Recover Cocaine, Ammunition from Home

A search of a home Thursday by Sarasota Police on 29th Street in Sarasota resulted in an arrest of a convicted felon.
The Sarasota Police Tactical Narcotics Unit with assistance from the Strategic Narcotics Unit, the Street Crimes Unit and Uniform Patrol officers executed a search warrant at 1770 29th St where detectives seized about 15.3 grams of powder coccaine, various drug paraphernalia and a box containing 9 mm ammunition, accoridng to a news release issued by the Sarasota Police Department.
Police arrested Dexter Mills, 49, for:
• Possession of cocaine with intent to sell / distribute within 1000 feet of a place of worship
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of ammunition by a convicted felon
Any property that is used for illegal narcotics, prostitution or criminal gang activity is reviewed for
