Turtle T-shirts on sale now

Longboat Key 2012 turtle shirts are on sale now. T-shirts are available for a $15 donation, and proceeds from the sale benefit the Longboat Key Turtle Watch group. T-shirts are available at the UPS Store at the Centre Shops of Longboat Key and the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce.
The Longboat Key Turtle Watch group patrols Gulf side beaches starting at the Manatee County line (Sea Club Resort) north to the Longboat Pass bridge and Greer Island (Beer Can). This stretch of beach is divided into four zones and is patrolled by 38 volunteers, who walk the beach at 6:30 a.m. in the morning, one or more days a week. The patrols start May 1 and usually end by mid-September when all the marked nests have hatched or been dug
