Baby born at Bradenton baseball stadium

BRADENTON - The Pittsburgh Pirates don't play their first spring game at McKechnie field until Friday. They will be hard-pressed to do something on the field to top a catch that a Pirates employee made for Latasha Kirk at the stadium Wednesday. Kirk, 29, was eight months pregnant when she went with her boyfriend to an open house at McKechnie the Pirates hosted. “He said they were having free food, so i went,” says Kirk. Her boyfriend had gone off to to fetch the food when she went into labor. “All of a sudden I started having contractions really bad,” she says. She asked a staff member to call an ambulance. The worker alerted Trevor Gooby, the Pirates Director of Florida Operations. He summoned Kirk a wheelchair and they went to the stadium entrance to wait for the EMS crew. “And she just said, 'he's
