5 Things: March is Florida Archaeology Month

1. March is Florida Archaeology Month and you can see all sorts of events listed around the state
Check out the Sarasota event on March 17 at New College of Florida'sArchaeology Lab from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring "hands-on activities, demonstrations, tours, lectures, films; and free hot dogs and lemonade."
2. Get your tickets now for the 22nd annual Historic Homes Tour on Sunday.
This year's installment visits the Bungalow Hill neighborhood of Hudson Bayou. Five homes will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day for $20 admission to benefit the Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation.
