5 Things To Know: Memorial Day Parade Today

1. Sarasota's annual Memorial Day parade will be downtown at 10 a.m. Monday, May 28. Parade starts at Main Street and Osprey Avenue and ends on Main Street at Gulfstream Avenue. A ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at Chaplain J.D. Hamel Park.
2. We're waiting for more information from Florida Highway Patrol on a nasty crash in Pasco County that left a 29-year-old Sarasota woman in critical condition. Troopers have not released her name.
3. How would you renovate and use Sarasota High School's campus while honoring the architecture? You will have a chance to weigh in during two meetings. The meetings are scheduled for 5:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, June 6 and 7, in the Conference Center at the Sarasota County Technical Institute, 4748 Beneva Road in Sarasota.
