Colony Association, Klauber clash

While the Colony Association positions to move forward with a Colony redevelopment plan, Murf Klauber asserts they are legally incorrect and in denial of the court ruling.

Over the past week Colony Association President Jay Yablon and representatives from the association’s chosen developer, Club Holdings, met with community members, town staff and some commissioners to make clear their intent to redevelop the Colony sooner rather than later and with or without the three acres and interest controlled by former Colony Chairman Murf Klauber.
“We are compelled to move forward with 15 acres,” said Yablon in an interview with Longboat Key News.
Yablon and Club Holdings, led by Principal Glenn Miller, will be submitting a site plan and performing due diligence with the town.
